The Vice President shall preside in the absence of the President.

In case of death, resignation, disqualification, refusal or neglect of the President to discharge the duties of their office, the Vice President shall then perform all duties incumbent upon the President for the remainder of the term of office.

However, a Branch with an Executive Vice President may provide in its by-laws that the Executive Vice President shall succeed to the Presidency.
